Yes, you can use any directory to serve your pages, but make sure you create a vhost file for each website…

Can I use another folder for files instead of /srv/http?

#LoadModule mpm_event_module modules/mod_mpm_event.so

and uncomment the line:

LoadModule mpm_prefork_module modules/mod_mpm_prefork.so
