I’ve got the same issue.

Invalid handle. Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2024 Redistributable (x64) – 14.42.344B3.0

Any suggestions for how to fix that?

It worked, but I had a problem. I kept getting a Windows message saying there was an issue with webhelper.exe. I found the solution on another website, so I’ll post it here. Open Terminal, run winecfg, then click Add an application → Program Files/SketchUp/SketchUp2017/, and delete SketchUp_webhelper.exe. After that, everything worked fine.

In reply to Zunaid. I get exactly same message(s). Every time it hits windows related stuff it complains of "invalid handle". Should be easy for an expert to fix. I don't know how.

Hi, I need some help. While following your tutorial, when I try to install SketchUp using Wine, I keep getting “invalid handle” errors. And the installation fails. Any idea what’s going on? I’m using the same Ubuntu version as you.
