While the remote file system is currently mounted on your local system, any changes made will be reflected on the remote file system. This includes deletions, additions, and such.

It says that, after mounting remote Linux filesystem (directory), don’t delete the mounted directory (filesystem), if you do so, it will also delete on the remote system.
